چکیده

Background: General anesthesia is an essential component of and endotracheal intubation a basic step to secure the airway in patients undergoing any surgical procedure. Airway manipulation causes mucosal inflammation resulting coughing, straining, bucking subsequent distress patient. Aim: To find out whether preemptive use nebulized lignocaine has some role tube tolerance during anesthetic induction emergence. Study design: Randomized control trial Methodology: The randomized controlled study was done on 68 scheduled for general procedures.Patients were allocated intoGroup A Group Bby closed envelope method with 34 each group. In 2% (1.5-2mg/kg) normalsaline 0.9% prepare total 5 ml solution, used nebulize face mask connected O2 at 7L/min B5ml normal saline 15minutes. noted both extubation. Results: Endotracheal tolerancein markedly significant than B A, 32/34(94.12%) reflected extubation while only 06/34(17.65%) Conclusion: Preemptive suppresses reflexes significantly improves tolerance. Keywords: intubation, extubation, nebulization, lignocaine.

Remifentanil vs. Lidocaine on Response to Tracheal Tube during Emergence of General Anesthesia

Introduction: Response to tracheal tube during emergence of general anesthesia is a main concern. We aimed to compare the effect of Remifentanil and Lidocaine on response to tracheal tube during emergence of general anesthesia. Materials and Methods: In this randomized clinical trial, we enrolled 80 consecutive patients with American Society of Anesthesiology (ASA) physical status I–II, who und...

The effect of low-dose remifentanil on responses to the endotracheal tube during emergence from general anesthesia.

BACKGROUND Emergence from general anesthesia can be associated with coughing, agitation, and hemodynamic disturbances. Remifentanil may attenuate these responses. METHODS In a prospective, double-blind, randomized trial, we enrolled 60 adult patients undergoing nasal surgery using remifentanil-based anesthesia. During the emergence phase, the remifentanil group had remifentanil reduced to one...

"anesthetic Sparing Effect of Intraoperative Lignocaine or Dexmedetomidine Infusion on Sevoflurane during General Anesthesia".

BACKGROUND Lidocaine and Dexmedetomidine are known to blunt the stress response to surgery, and have anesthetic sparing activity. This study was designed to evaluate and compare the anesthetic sparing effect of intravenous lidocaine with Dexmedetomidine infusion during sevoflurane based general anesthesia and also to assess their effects on hemodynamic parameters. METHODS Forty-eight ASA I-II...
